For us, thinking about the future means acting sustainably – right now. This is reflected even beyond our fundamental business principles and production processes – in terms of disposal, we are pursuing a strategy of “avoid - reuse - remove”. In practice, this means minimising waste and achieving the highest possible reuse and recycling rates. Our efforts are paying off: we once again received the “resources SAVED” certificate for 2022 – while saving resources and avoiding greenhouse gas emissions.

Our successful environmental balance sheet for 2022: 1,936 tons of resources and 213 tons of greenhouse gases saved. Since 2013, we have been participating in a dual system via our disposal service provider Interseroh. We have calculated that 1,936 tonnes of resources and an additional 213 tonnes of greenhouse gases were saved in 2022 alone by recycling our materials. Our collaboration with Interseroh has also made a key contribution to our overall savings: by returning 1.8 million tons of recyclables to circulation in 2021, Interzero has saved 12.5 million tons of primary resources as well as around 1 million tons of climate-damaging greenhouse gases.
